A Game to Understand Broadcast News Writing Rules

What you will need:
- A news article.  The article should be cut up into individual paragraphs or sentences and pasted on a piece of paper in random order.
- An unused room
- A timer
Instructions:
This game is to be played by two people. One will play "the broadcaster" and the other will play "audience".
"The broadcaster" sits inside the room and attempts to relay what he has read to "the audience"
"The audience" sits outside the room and takes notes of what he understands from what "the broadcaster" is saying.
The broadcaster is given 10 minutes to read and extract information from the newspaper article.  Another 10 minutes will be given for the broadcaster to write a script.  The broadcaster must relay all the information he has gathered in one minute and a half.
At the end of the exercise, the broadcaster's script will be compared with the notes taken by the "audience".
